A much-anticipated debut, Stella McCartney’s first menswear collection has finally arrived and it is mainly inspired by his Beatle father Paul McCartney.

First seen at the designer’s fashion showcase, alongside her Resort 2017 womenswear collection, in London’s Abbey Road music studios, the collection features a series of pyjama-like combos, sharp suits and big-pocketed jackets and coats (see gallery below).

Showcased in a space filled with old records, pinball machines and lounge chairs (in short: the ultimate man cave), the collection is quintessentially British, like Paul McCartney, the designer’s father and core member of the Beatles.

Dressed on models that are styled like The Beatles themselves, the showcase is the epitome of what makes Stella McCartney special – minimal, with touches of fun and cool.

Since the collection takes inspiration from her father and his band, Stella thinks Paul will be wearing the collection without fail, saying, “Yeah definitely, there’s a lot of inspiration obviously in him in the collection, so … he better be wearing it.”

Stella McCartney’s debut menswear line is now available for in its online store, with in-store purchases arriving in January.
