What makes the new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra a real deal

What makes the new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra a real deal

The flagship phones of 2021 have rolled in, and the honour goes to the Samsung Galaxy S21 series. Packed with impressive features, camera system, display and design, the all new Galaxy S21 series is the pinnacle of android technology. We’ve been eyeing all three models since it officially launched online recently but the one that really raised our eyebrows was the premium edition, Galaxy S21 Ultra. Although largely similar to its other siblings in terms of specs and features, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is a different beast and here’s why.

Design

The South Korean tech giant never fails to introduce bold new designs that set their models apart from the rest. The Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with a sleek camera bump that blends seamlessly with the device’s glossy metal frame and is coated in a luxurious haze finish. The model features a 6.8-inch display which offers an immersive experience not just for entertainment and gaming, but also for performance-based tasks that requires a big screen.

Speaking of which, the screen is a true beauty. According to Samsung, the Dynamic AMOLED 2X display is the most intelligent screen yet as it automatically adjusts refresh rate from 10Hz to 120Hz depending on the content you are viewing. It is also 25 percent brighter and offers 50 percent better contrast ratio than its predecessors, as well as outfitted with Eye Comfort Shield to reduce eye fatigue. The screen is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is extremely tough and the most durable Gorilla Glass to date.

Camera System

One of the major highlights of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is its camera system. Unlike the other two S21 models, Galaxy S21 Ultra boasts a quad rear camera of 12MP ultra-wide, 108MP wide and 10MP dual tele lenses along with improved 108MP pro and Bright Night sensors. Together, they create stunning, studio quality photos in every setting. You can even shoot videos in 4K at 60fps across all lenses – front and rear.  The device also offers 100x Space Zoom which is powered by Samsung’s first-ever Dual-tele lens system for sharper and clearer images. Of course, you can expect all the usual Samsung goodies like Slowmo, Super-slowmo, Pro Video, Single Take, as well as photo editing with RAW file option. Taking creative expression and multitasking to the next level, for the first time ever, it supports the S Pen, which is made possible with a Wacom digitiser built into the display.

Performance with Advanced Security Structure

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 sits under the hood, promising butter smooth operation with many AI/AR and computational processing features. It is also fixed with Ultra-wideband capabilities (UWB) which deliver better and faster connectivity compared to other premium smartphones on the market, and improved control over other smart home devices using the SmartThings app. And since privacy is of high priority, Samsung introduces Private Share function, a new layer of protection to its very own Samsung Knox Vault that allows you to take control over your data.

All in all, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is undeniably one of the most powerful Samsung smartphones. We have just unpacked a  unit, so watch this space for a more extensive review.
