Remedying our craving to host gatherings, Gucci releases its latest Men’s Tailoring campaign titled “Life of a Rock Star“, featuring A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator and Iggy Pop having a fun time together while practising appropriate safety measure — a gathering with only three people.
Directed by the house’s darling Harmony Korine, the campaign taps the three famed musicians to parade the brand’s latest sartorial collection with a storyline of lavish rock star lifestyle. Taking place in a Californian modernist mansion, the campaign captures the trio grooving to “Supernature” by Cerrone in the bathroom, greenery-filled terrace and dining room while revelling in their precious moments with Iggy Pop’s pet parrot and blue hyacinth macaw. Some of the key items featured include diagonal GG stripe cotton silk jacket, wool mohair jacket with Gucci label and cable knit wool alpaca crop sweater.
The campaign emphasises on three men with distinctive styles bonded by common ground of foppishness. “This is another chapter of this journey. With these campaigns, I am working on different ways of being elegant, and these three men embody this idea perfectly. I like to tell the story of elegance in completely arbitrary and unexpected ways. Perhaps elegance is something in the air that sometimes you are not even ready for. Male elegance can be unpredictable and strange, ” shared Alessandro Michele.
