It’s been a big year for Tudor. After having enlisted David Beckham, Lady Gaga and the All Blacks its brand ambassadors, the watch brand recently announced a historic partnership agreement with World Rugby.
This is an interesting move for Tudor, to say the least. The news is the latest development in Tudor’s multi-year strategy of building itself into a brand with an identity distinct from its parent, Rolex.
With this seven-year multi-layered partnership, the Swiss watchmaker will support the main rugby events in the world of men’s, women’s and U-20 rugby in both the XV and 7’s formats, on top of the World Rugby Hall of Fame and the World Rugby Awards.
Adding World Rugby to its collaboration line-up is sure to shake things up and get Tudor in front of an entirely new audience. It will be interesting to see how all the ambassadors and the new venture are involved with the brand going forward.
The watch for this new association is none other than the Black Bay Dark.
