With the aggravation of environmental issues, sustainability is one of the most sought-after pursuits that countries, brands and NGOs alike are working on endlessly. To lend a helping hand in championing sustainability, we have worked with Volvo Car Malaysia and Uniqlo Malaysia to conduct a sustainability workshop to share more knowledge to deepen our finalists’ understanding of the environmental drive spearheaded by the respective companies.
Kickstarting our workshop last Saturday was sustainability talk by Volvo Car Malaysia, presented by Volvo Car Malaysia’s Marketing & PR Manager Elaine Ng, where she talked about the Swedish marque’s approach to sustainability, “Volvo Green Planet”, “A Million More” campaign and more. After the talk, the finalists were given the chance to test drive their popular models like the S60, S90, XC40 and XC60 to head to the next stop at Uniqlo Malaysia’s office.
Once we were there, the sustainability team from the Japanese label gave a talk on the company’s adoption of sustainability with select items including the Dry-Ex collection, Fluffy Yarn Fleece Jacket, jeans and down jacket. Finally, the models were brought to the Uniqlo store at 1 Utama Shopping Centre to pick their favourite sustainable pieces.
