Our much-anticipated Men’s Folio Model Search is finally back for its second edition this 2019 and eight finalists have been selected, where they will be put through a series of challenges to compete for the top spot in the coming weeks.
To kick-start the competition, we sent the finalists on a photoshoot to test their performance in front of the lens.

What it is about modelling that interest you: Modelling is about expressing inner and outer confidence of yourself. How you pose and work the shots out. It’s also all about how much passion you put to make sure that it is a success.
I love everything about me. You have to accept your own flaws and love your own uniqueness. I always stand by the words: “Love yourself first before you love anybody else.”

What it is about modelling that interest you: I love art and all that it encompasses. Fashion has become a huge representative of that art in my life. Modelling to me is a way for me to contribute and be a part of some greater art form that I appreciate and have great reverence towards.

What it is about modelling that interest you: Modelling has improved me a lot in tremendous ways. Meeting new people from all around the world has broadened my perspective of life.
Listening to their stories and experiences about life has really inspired me to become who I am today. Modelling is more than just being beautiful on the outside, it’s also about inner beauty. Finding yourself and believing in yourself will help you go through this beautiful and interesting industry.

What it is about modelling that interest you: Modelling is a stage where there is no barrier for people to showcase their talent and that’s what increased my passion for modelling. I don’t see this as an opportunity to make money but to reveal my personality to others.

What it is about modelling that interest you: The thing that I’m interested in modelling is about fashion. I really love fashion and I love to be styled everywhere and anywhere. Art also is one of the best ways to describe modelling. Furthermore, modelling also makes me feel so confident. When it comes into a photo shoot, I love feeling the good vibes on me.

What it is about modelling that interest you: It’s about the art of styling, the photography and the make-up. The whole look and all of that make it more interesting to me – that what makes me interested in modelling, especially editorial and campaign shoots.

What it is about modelling that interest you: Modelling is an interesting field that inspires me in different ways especially keeping myself up-to-date on the latest fashion trends. It also inspires me to possess good personality traits such as positive attitude, good sense of style & adaptability.
From modelling, I can challenge myself on styles that I have never tried before! And I am always up for the challenge.

What it is about modelling that interest you: The first thing that I like about modelling is about the art of it. The vibe and the feeling when I participate in a photoshoot really amaze me. I want to know what are the designer’s thoughts when they create the pieces.
Every time I go into the scene, I like how they style me and make me want to learn more about fashion.
