Baume & Mercier partners with FJ Benjamin

Baume & Mercier recently co-hosted a special event with luxury retailer FJ Benjamin to celebrate their new partnership.

Took place at Brixton 23, a legion of exclusive showpieces from the Swiss watchmaker were showcased at the shindig, including historical timepieces from the Baume & Mercier Museum in Geneva, new Baumatic collection and 2019 novelties.

Making a great entrance for the showcase, the historical wall gave guests a view of Baume & Mercier’s illustrious milestones while eight vintage watches marking significantly different periods in the brand history were displayed in Malaysia for the first time. It included the 1850’s pocket watch, 1950’s complete calendar chronograph and delicate ladies timepieces from art deco era through the ’70s.

Paying a visit to the four stations, all the watch connoisseurs got to witness the first Baume & Mercier collection that was made with in-house mechanical movement, the Baumatic. The Baumatic was a brainchild of the brand’s almost two-century expertise in watchmaking – 189 years, to be exact – and five years of research and development, which innovation was highlighted in the aspects of power reserve, chronometric accuracy, sensitivity to magnetic fields and durability.
