The way Victoire de Castellane has crafted the world of Dior Joaillerie so far has always translated the same vigour for life through her expressions of precious stones, and this newest collection is no exception — particularly in its brooches.

Made with the “doublet” technique — the process of layering thin stones on another — Castellane’s brooches depict tableaus of flora and fauna. The signature addition of lacquer intensifies the chromatic gradations, which come across distinctly in the Récif Fleuri brooch. The diamonds give way to bright blooms of blue sapphires and rhodolite garnets, while the lacquered edges echo the colours of the stones. If there is one way to showcase depth and design, a statement piece like this makes for quite the conversation starter.

The brooches are also whimsical wonders thanks to their multi-wear versatility.
