The Dior Saddle bag gets a new update in Oblique Gravity leather

The Dior Saddle bag is undoutedly one of the most coveted bags Dior has ever introduced to the world of fashion, thanks to John Galliano, the former creative director of the storied French maison. It was first appeared in Dior’s Spring/Summer 2000 show, a collection that was greatly inspired by equestrian and so did the kidney-shaped accessory. However, it wasn’t until 2003 that it became the dream of every fashion girl after it was spotted on the arms of celebrities the likes of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.

In 2018, creative director Kim Jones reintroduced the iconic bag and it quickly gained traction among the fashionistas. Since then, the French fashion house has been churning out new design year after year — from Mystery Ranch x Dior Saddle Bag to the bright quilted rendition dreamed up by Eli Russell Linnetz to the Ruthenium version in Dior Oblique jacquard.

This year, Kim Jones once again reinterprets the equestrian-inspired bag through an ultramodern lens. Crafted with the Dior Oblique Gravity leather, the new iteration is executed with a delicately embossed,  varnished effect that offers it its shimmering outlook. Striking a balance between style and functionality, the sophisticated bag made in Italy features top zipped compartment, front flap pocket, removable leather shoulder strap and removable top handle.

The Dior Saddle Boxy bag is now available at Dior boutiques and comes in three colours including black, plum and yellow.
