Kim Soo Hyun is Mido’s new Asia ambassador

Swiss watch Mido has recently announced the Korean superstar Kim Soo Hyun as the brand’s ambassador for the Asia region.

The Korean heartthrob – who has once again caused a sensation globally with hit Korean drama It’s Okay Not Be Okay for playing Moon Gang Tae, a selfless psych ward caretaker who embarks on an extraordinary love journey with Go Moon Young – has caught the eyes of Mido with his remarkable performance in acting, who shares similar trait with the Swiss watchmaker in delivering their best in performance.

Along with the announcement, Kim Soo Hyun presents the new Ocean Star 200C watch. “For me, this is both a sporty and elegant watch with an outstanding green coloured dial and ceramic bezel. Having also up to 80 hours of power reserve and being water-resistant up to 200 meters allow me to wear it all the time,” Kim Soo Hyun described the watch in an interview.

A testimony to its principles of delivering cutting-edge technology, premium materials and high-performance movements, the new Ocean Star 200C stands out with its robust ceramic ring in bright green shade, a new colour Mido utilises in its creation. Powered by Caliber 80 automatic movement, the watch is also decorated with a matt dial with rippled texture.
