IWC Skywriter lets you fly a jet to write messages in the sky

IWC Skywriter

It’s safe to say that flying a jet across the sky is every man’s dream and IWC Schaffhausen is making our dreams come true with its new virtual reality “IWC Skywriter”.

Created to celebrate the new Pilot’s watch series by IWC, the Maison launched this digital innovation for its patrons to customise digital messages in the sky, while allowing them a chance to experience flying a series of different jet planes.

Featuring four vintage aircraft – Junkers JU 52, F-14 Tomcat, Supermarine Spitfire and Lockheed P-38 Lightning – that mirrors the Pilot’s watch series, users will be immersed into a full 3D-graphics interface, which can be accessed in any browser or tech device they have.

While you can use arrow keys to control the flight pattern, there is also the autopilot option where you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the cruise through the serene skies.

Yet another milestone by the renowned watchmaker, the incorporation of new technological advances reflects the DNA of the Maison for keeping up with constant innovation and originality.
