Watches & Wonders 2026: The Highlights from Day 2

Cast your eyes to these standout releases from A. Lange & Söhne, Panerai, Rolex, and Zenith.

Set against the electric backdrop of Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026, the world’s leading watchmakers converge once more for the annual watchmaking showcase. With new creations and innovations aplenty, this year’s edition reaffirms Geneva as the undisputed capital of time. From headline-making novelties to quietly brilliant complications, here are the standout releases from A. Lange & Söhne, Panerai, Rolex, and Zenith.

A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar “Lumen”

Giants of Saxon watchmaking, A. Lange & Söhne, unveiled its glanzstück at Watches & Wonders 2026: the Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar “Lumen”. The masterpiece unites the namesake tourbillon and perpetual calendar complications in a platinum case. Instead of conforming to visually classical codes, the “Lumen” application is a modernist take on nighttime readability. The timetelling and perpetual calendar elements are treated with luminescent material. A darkened semi-transparent dial allows energy-rich UV light to pass through the luminous compound of the underlying displays, which in turn allows them to glow in the dark. The Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar “Lumen” is powered by the self-winding manufacture calibre L225.1 and is limited to 50 pieces.

Panerai Submersible Navy SEALs Afniotech™ Experience PAM01089

Panerai proudly presents its defining novelty, the Submersible Navy SEALs Afniotech™ Experience PAM01089, which perfectly captures the spirit of this year’s vision, “Innovation from the Depths.” The timepiece, made in the spirit of the Navy SEALs, is housed in Afniotech™, the world’s first case made from 95% hafnium composition. The rare element is used in neutron control systems for nuclear reactors or high-technology sectors such as nuclear energy, aeronautics, and aerospace. Even in conditions where titanium may fail, hafnium thrives thanks to its exceptional physical and chemical properties, including outstanding corrosion resistance. The watch is limited to 35 pieces and allows its owners to embark on a unique three-day Special Operations Experience scheduled for March 2027.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40

The Rolesium Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona may be hogging the limelight this year, but the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40 edges it out for us. Rolex celebrates the wondrous occasion of its Oyster centennial with Jubilee Gold. Its newest proprietary precious alloy is a combination of gold blended with copper, palladium, zinc, and silver. Thanks to this unique composition, the watch and its President bracelet glistens with tender yellow, warm grey and soft pink tones. Given the undertones, a green aventurine dial with ten baguette-cut diamonds was selected as the perfect companion to this year’s exceptional creation fit for royalty.

Zenith Chronomaster Sport Skeleton

Bastions of high-frequency watchmaking, Zenith unveils its latest iteration of the Chronomaster Sport: the Chronomaster Sport Skeleton. In this version, the Le Locle manufacture’s famed El Primero 3600 SK calibre is no longer relegated as a rear-view accoutrement but now elevated to the forefront with a smoked sapphire dial. The result offers a subtle brutalist touch to the dial and a peek into the calibre front side while maintaining the watch’s sporty appearance. Much of what made the original Chronomaster Sport a winner of the GPHG Chronograph award, such as the overall case dimension, ceramic bezel, and classic pump pushers, remains. Two stainless steel pieces with green or black ceramic bezels are offered alongside two other 18K rose gold pieces with either a black ceramic or diamond set bezel. The stainless steel pieces also debut Zenith’s new ZENCLASP™ folding clasp, designed to enhance both security and everyday comfort.
