As you do so, here are four uncomplicated cocktail recipes – which require five ingredients or less – that you can easily whip up to elevate the precious time.

Mint leaves

Ginger beer

Martell Sour

This style of cocktail comes together quickly and can be made with a variety of ingredients. The sweet and sour combination of flavours allows your favourite Martell cognac to steal the show.

1 part sugar syrup (mix water and sugar)

2 parts of your choice of Martell cognac

Lime or lemon peel

Ice cubes
