Colour, at RIMOWA, has never been decorative. With the Essential and Groove ranges, it becomes directive. Orange and Magenta arrive not as seasonal accents, but as deliberate interventions, applied with the same discipline the Maison reserves for material and engineering.
Orange is immediate, hard to miss. Magenta sits deeper, more controlled, holding its intensity without pushing for attention. One catches your eye. The other lingers.
The Essential range translates that clarity into form. Crafted from polycarbonate, each case is fully colour-matched for a seamless, uninterrupted shell. No breaks, no visual noise. Underneath, nothing changes. Multiwheel systems engineered for smooth, frictionless movement. Stage-free telescopic handles that extend and lock with mechanical certainty. TSA-approved locks, integrated without disruption.
Inside, the system resolves itself. Dual-organisation interiors split function cleanly. A fully zipped compartment contains movement. The Flex Divider compresses and stabilises. Packing stops being guesswork and becomes method.
The expansion into Groove sharpens the proposition. The Cross-Body Bag Small in Orange carries that same chromatic confidence into soft calf leather, balancing structure with ease. Its removable strap and suitcase-inspired handle allow it to shift across modes without friction, echoing the adaptability of the luggage itself. Additional tones, Chalk, Cognac, and Burgundy extend the palette without diluting it, while matching accessories in Orange, from packing cubes to a trifold toiletry pouch, complete the system.
This isn’t colour layered onto an existing product. It’s colour integrated into a framework already refined to its limits. It doesn’t change how RIMOWA works. It changes how it reads.
Available from April 23, the new Essential and Groove pieces will launch in stores worldwide and online.
