July is drawing to a close, but Dioriviera in Penang is still going strong, with its pop-up in full swing until 11 August 2025. Based in Macalister Mansion, this lovely retreat offers everything from a tropical space featuring poolside seats to the Café Dior for those moments when you want to enjoy a refreshing drink in the shade.

Everything here invites a double-take. There is always opportunity to look closer. Take, for instance, the latest Dior creations featured in separate spaces within the pop-up. Not only can you admire the summer wardrobe and accessories on display, you can also appreciate the rattan giraffes and palm trees within.

In other words, it is easy to while away the time while surrounded by opulence, and that is not counting the time spent enjoying reimagined local fare like cured salmon and ulam. There is also coffee for the caffeine lovers alongside mocktails and cocktails. And those wishing to indulge from the get-go can pick from a full list of desserts. Oh, and with the host of beautiful backdrops on display, this place is a goldmine for Instagram-worthy pics too.

It might be our imagination, but the venue still holds the vestiges of the great opening evening that was held 13 June 2025. A host of personalities graced the event, which included Alvin Chong, Marion Caunter, Nadhir Nasar, Rizman Nordin, Phei Yong, Zhen Ning, and Awal Ashaari, to name a few.
