In celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Japanese manufacture has introduced two special editions for the momentous occasion, the GCW-B5000UN and Limited Edition Porter Collection Bag Set. Paying homage to the very first G-Shock timepiece, the GCW-B5000UN is unlike any other watch that one typically comes across. It is a visual treat that perfectly captures the ethereal beauty of variegated outer space. It is also a horological marvel that showcases great discernment, intricacy of watchmaking and technological innovation. Decorated in the colour of purple adorned by opal specks or timeless black, the special edition timepiece is crafted using carbon materials that make G-Shock a household name — forged carbon that offers varied pattern for every single watch it produces and multilayer carbon that renders the flexibility it is known for.
Also feting its 40 years of glory is the Limited Edition Porter Collection Bag Set. Created exclusively for the important milestone, the limited-edition offering comes with an analog GM-B2100 watch treated with a unique finish that emulates the wear and tear over time. A tribute to the DW-5000C, the vintage-looking timepiece boasts an octagonal silhouette and accents of red, blue and gold inspired by the inaugural creation — not forgetting a premium bag adorned with a leather tag bearing the G-Shock 40th-anniversary mark from Porter that makes the collaboration an even more worthy collectable.
The G-Shock GCW-B5000 is now available at G-Shock stores in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Lalaport BBCC, 1Utama, IOI City Mall Putrajaya and Ipoh Parade whereas Limited Edition Porter Collection Bag Set is available at G-Shock store Lalaport BBCC.
