When Apple announced its latest OS featuring a liquid glass interface, it became clear that Frutiger Aero — a dopamine-fuelled design language blending organic elements with glossy, high-tech aesthetics — had made its return to the visual mainstream. Popularised in the early 2000s, this hyper-saturated, almost surreal style feels perfectly timed for a comeback. However, we should not be too surprised. The Hedi-era Dior Homme boys, along with digicams and flash-lit photos, have already reclaimed their hold on fashion’s current mood, flooding our feeds with a familiar, melancholic futurism.
