Montblanc and Wes Anderson Join Hands Again At Milan Fashion Week 2025

Montblanc introduces a new short film, a first-ever fashion event, and an immersive gala dinner all at the Milan Fashion Week 2025.

Montblanc has just unveiled another short film titled ‘Let’s Write’ at Milan Fashion Week 2025. And if its aesthetics seem familiar, that’s because the maison is continuing its collaboration with renowned filmmaker Wes Anderson.

Previously, Anderson celebrated 100 years of the Meisterstück through his eyes. This time around, the filmmaker continues exploring Montblanc’s world, all while presenting it in a way that only Anderson can.

Some of the stars featured in the film are Rupert Friend, Waris Ahluwalia, and Esther McGregor, who also attended the launch in Milan, accompanied by the short film’s co-director Roman Coppola. But the big names don’t stop there. Ambassadors such as Joey King, Daniel Brühl, Seo Kangjun, Kerem Bürsin, and Alfonso Herrera also graced the event. Other notable names such as friends of the brand Mew Suppasit, Cooper Koch, and Manolo Caro were also present.

Those familiar with Montblanc’s events will know that no detail goes unchecked. Its venue, the Central Station in Milan, mirrors the departure hall of the short film. And halfway through the gala dinner came the Montblanc’s first-ever fashion presentation.

The maison’s artistic director Marco Tomasetta needs no introduction, but the fashion presentation served as a great platform to showcase his new leather jackets for the capsule collection. All this presented alongside the maison’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

Even for outerwear, Tomasetta still refers to the theme of the desk. The desk is a space where creativity takes form, something that moulds according to the needs of the creator. A leatherworker’s desk will vary wildly from a writer’s, for instance. And it is this line of thought that Tomasetta always draws his inspiration from. In Milan Fashion Week, these leather jackets embodied the desk in a wearable form.

“I was deeply inspired by the archive that I have been closely studying for the past four years. It has pushed me to constantly think of new and original ways to bring the world of writing closer to our customers and their hearts,” Tomasetta says.

“This expression of Montblanc heritage is the most intimate yet, something you can carry on your body and something that literally becomes part of you.”

Combining leather jackets and the desk makes for an interesting take. Because, just like creativity, it is something that you can take with you, a unique signature that only you can express. Which is why this partnership with Anderson, the actors, and all the artisans involved in Montblanc’s creations become so much more meaningful.
