All The Superfine Jewellery From The Met Gala 2025

Brooches, grills, canes and all the personalised one-of-ones you’ve never seen before.

Now that we’ve covered the garments and the timepieces, it’s onto the final styling element that defines the superfine in the Met Gala 2025 theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” — the jewellery.

Black dandyism is rooted in self-empowerment; the act of accessorising with one’s best adornments could not be a more literal way of celebrating identity, diversity and the excellence of style. The concept of Sunday best is after-all rooted in the culture and legacy of Black tailoring — except the Met Gala is one exceptional occasion where attendees have special access to precious pieces you probably won’t be able to find on an average Monday night out. Of course, this is no normal crowd, but neither is this just another Met Gala — its the first time the focus is entirely on menswear, spotlighting a demographic whose influence in both fashion and global pop culture is undeniable and still growing with time.

The importance of this year’s gala is thus the reason for even bigger and better jewellery presentations on the red carpet, courtesy of houses like Cartier, Tiffany and Co., Boucheron, as well as new, bespoke artisans that continue to help grow the creativity of the industry’s repertoire in unprecedented ways. Read on for some of the best jewellery moments from the night, with accompanying notes and stories to better appreciate each choice.

A$AP Rocky

in Bvlgari high jewellery, Alex Moss jewellery and custom Briony Raymond umbrella

On top of absolutely embodying the dress code by wearing a custom look tailored for him by him under his creative agency AWGE, the co-chair chose quite the assortment of jewellery to further flex his dandy status. From Bvlgari, he wears the Eternal Ruby necklace, anchored by a never-before-seen 12.29-carat drop-shaped ruby, flanked by 22 brilliant diamonds. Pinned to his lapel is a pink gold brooch with a 15.34-carat cushion-cut peridot, rubellites, and diamonds — both pieces set to debut later this month at the maison’s high jewellery presentation in Taormina, Italy. To top it off? The necessary addition of an 18-karat gold and 90-carat diamond custom umbrella by Briony Raymond, because he can — scroll for a close up.

Shah Rukh Khan

in custom Sabyasachi Jewellery

This legendary Bollywood icon’s Met Gala debut could not be more regal. On top of his all-black Sabyasachi suit, Shah Rukh Khan wears a custom necklace stack titled The Dandy Stack and holds The Bengal Tiger Head Cane — both crafted in 18-karat gold with sapphires, tourmalines, old mine-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds. King Khan indeed.

Jeremy O. Harris

in custom Benjamin Hawkins

Tailored for you has also been interpreted as personalised jewellery, and playwright Jeremy O Harris has definitely taken the top prize for making a piece that is unique, yet still fully on theme. Made by British jeweller Benjamin Hawkins, this one-of-one ring is inspired by the “Presence” section of the catalogue for the exhibition — where O. Harris’ essay is also published. After looking at caricatures of black dandies in the 19th century, images became something of an obsession for the playwright — which was how the idea of making a Fabergé egg-like ring featuring his portrait came about. The ring borne out of this creative collision features a 2.2-carat peach brown pear-shaped diamond in the center, with a guilloché enamel base and an enamelled portrait of O. Harris wearing a silver collar and a pearl earring in a diamond frame — illustrated to look like he was a dandy of the 19th century. Except he is certainly a modern dandy living in the 21st century. Brilliant.

Lewis Hamilton

in Briony Raymond and Snow Diamonds jewellery

The co-chair sports Briony Raymond Asscher-cut diamond stud earrings, cufflinks crafted from freshwater pearls and garnet-coloured diamonds, a vintage pearl-and-diamond brooch on the lapel and a 1980s floral brooch made of white, yellow and pink diamonds on Hamilton’s custom Stephen Jones hat. Add the rest of the Snow Diamonds jewellery in and its dandy with even more impeccable class at his 10th Met Gala. As his stylist Eric McNeal describes, “Ancestral beads and freshwater pearls shine with garnet-colored diamonds,” as “eternal amulets.”

Priyanka Chopra

in Bvlgari high jewellery

It’s perhaps a nod to her culture’s fondness for big stones that actress Priyanka Chopra chose to debut the Magnus Emerald at the Met Gala this year — the largest faceted emerald ever set by Bvlgari at a whopping 241.06 carats. This is but a sneak peek of Bvlgari’s soon-to-launch Polychroma High Jewelry collection. Also, it’s really tough to capture the colour of an emerald in a static image, so if it’s looking this rich here, you could probably imagine how much more jaw-dropping this emerald brick might look like in person.

Kim Kardashian

in Moussaief Jewellers and Boucheron high jewellery

Yes, she’s in Chrome Hearts but her decked décolletage of exquisite diamond-intensive high jewellery from Moussaieff Jewellers is what made the look. Also a Vendôme Liseré ring from Boucheron, set with a 4.18-carat pear cut diamond, with black lacquer, on white gold.

Isha Ambani

The vintage-inspired solitaire necklace high-flyer businesswoman Isha Ambani is wearing pays homage to a necklace designed by Jacques Cartier in 1931 for the Maharaj of Nawanagar — and apparently belongs to her mom, Nita Ambani. The cascade of 89 diamonds weighs 481.42 carats, with the largest diamond in the necklace being a cushion-cut 80.73-carat diamond. Also. if you find the necklace’s silhouette familiar, that is because it’s a replica of the necklace central to the plot of 2018 film Ocean’s 8, where a heist to steal this necklace took place at the Met. Coincidence?

Rihanna

in Cartier high jewellery, archival jewellery and fine jewellery

She bejeweled her third pregnancy announcement with a full Cartier suite that celebrates the past, present and future: C de Cartier earrings in 18-karat white gold and diamonds; Cartier High Jewelry watch and pendant, 18-karat white gold, diamonds; Cartier Collection watch brooch from Paris 1925, in platinum, white gold, onyx, black enamel, ribbon and diamonds.

Shamboozey

in David Yurman jewellery

The matching of turquoise from his Robert Wun get-up to the David Yurman jewellery and watch? The draping at the back? The woodgrain? The bow? Need we say more?

Zendaya

in Bvlgari high jewellery and Jessica McCormack

Brooches are having its moment thanks to the theme this year, but it seems like there are still many new ways to make it work on a suit apart from its usual placements. Zendaya fashions a Bvlgari Serpenti brooch on the back of her blazer, drawing attention to her Louis Vuitton ensemble’s immaculate fit. Also, here’s another welcome sight of her Jessica McCormack engagement ring again.

Rosé

in Tiffany and Co. high jewellery

To pizzazz up her slim-fitted Saint Laurent Le Smoking, Tiffany and Co. darling Rosé has decided to wear a statement Tiffany High Jewelry necklace in platinum and 18-karat gold, featuring a cushion-cut unenhanced esteemed sapphire of over 14 carats, round sapphires of over 11 total carats and diamonds of over 13 total carats. On her hand is also a Tiffany High Jewelry ring of an oval unenhanced sapphire of over 7 carats and round brilliant and baguette diamonds of over 4 total carats.

Pharrell Williams

in Tiffany and Co. jewellery

Apart from the mesmerising pearl-laticed Louis Vuitton suit being a jewellery piece on its own, here’s Pharrell flexing his exclusive creator-access with Tiffany and Co. with the Coronation ring — a yellow gold ring with more than 20 carats of yellow diamonds

Teyana Taylor

in David Yurman high jewellery

To top off the show-stopping “Rose in Harlem” ensemble designed by Ruth E. Carter — responsible for the entire Black Panther wardrobe — Teyana Taylor accompanied the look’s grey and red colour palette with the perfectly off-the-wall assortment of David Yurman pieces: jewel piece down the back, a baroque choker, multiple brooches and an impressive watch fob-like chain. There’s that steam punk glam we need!

Colman Domingo

in Boucheron high jewellery

When the co-chair of this year’s Met Gala decided to do two looks instead of one (with Valentino), he also decided each must come with it’s own set of jewellery — as with the spirit of the dandy. The first look, a royal blue cloak, came accompanied with the Iceberg necklace, from Boucheron’s Carte Blanche, Or Bleu High Jewelry collection — set with rock crystal and paved with diamonds, on white gold. For the second look, a checkered suit, the necklace is removed to give focus a pair of hands that are decked out in Boucheron rings. He wears the New Padma Cristal ring, from Histoire de Style, New Maharajahs High Jewelry collection, set with rock crystal and cacholong, paved with diamonds, on white gold; the Plume de Paon ring, set with a 34.01-carat cushion cut rubellite, paved with diamonds, on white gold; the Quatre Radiant Edition large ring, paved with diamonds, on white gold; the Quatre Black Edition large ring, paved with diamonds, on white gold, set with black PVD. Through the fit-change, he keeps on a pair of eye-catching Serpent Boheme Solarité asymmetrical stud earrings. Now that’s a blue carpet moment worth clapping for.

Coco Jones

in Manish Malhotra high jewellery

Kendall Jenner

in Chopard high jewellery

This gorgeous waterfall of white on Kendall Jenner décolletage features a 12.37-carat diamond and 76.11 carats of diamonds surrounding it. Similar effect to her sister Kim’s look, but sung in a completely different tone that fits her better. Cut from the same cloth, but two different senses of style.

Ayo Edebiri

in Cartier archival and fine jewellery

Ayo Edebiri really had fun with her Met Gala 2025 Cartier selections. Just look at the assortment of archival Cartier pieces she has chosen: a pair of Dinh Van for Cartier clip earrings from New York 1968; an adorable yellow gold, ruby and enamel dog brooch from Paris 1966; a yellow gold and crystal mystery pocket watch from 1997. Add on the more modern Clash de Cartier chrysoprase and 18-karat rose gold ring that contrasts marvellously with the red beads on her Ferragamo dress and you’ve got Ayo’s personality in jewellery form. A stellar package, as expected from a member of the host committee.

Jennie

in Chanel high jewellery

Her custom black leather and satin Chanel jumpsuit could only look even more perfect than it already is with its strings of pearls thanks to Jennie’s choice of a Chanel High jewelry Ruban Ring in white gold and diamonds. She’s truly outdone herself this time.

Chance The Rapper

in Tiffany and Co. high jewellery

These Tiffany and Co.  Jean Schlumberger brooches are completely at home in this Versace look on Chance The Rapper.

Bad Bunny

in Cartier archival and fine jewellery

So suave in his Prada look is a complementary pairing of Cartier pieces, from the 18-karat rose gold Clash de Cartier sunglasses with onyx and diamonds, Panthère de Cartier earrings in 18-karat white gold, diamonds, onyx, as well as an archival brooch from the house in 1962 — a flowering frame of white gold and diamonds featuring a brilliant, yellow sapphire.

Jonquel Jones

in Saidian Vintage Jewels and Jennifer Behr

The 2024 WNBA Finals MVP softens up the black leather in her blazer with Saidian Vintage Jewels and a gorgeous bejewelled up-do of coloured gems and pearls, courtesy of Jennifer Behr. Dandy through and through with this celebration of the art of Black hair.
