Salvatore Ferragamo introduces Tramezza – Future of Craft

Salvatore Ferragamo first launched its Made-to-Order service, Tramezza, in 2016 and has since become one of the most exclusive and luxury offerings in footwear. In an effort to fine-tune their omnichannel business, the Italian shoemaker ups the ante of its shoe game by introducing Tramezza - Future of Craft, tackling the needs of customers in this time of “New Normal”.

The Tramezza – Future of Craft is a dedicated shopping service catered for Tramezza shoes, making the process of bespeaking a step closer to reality. A technologically-immersive experience available both in-store and online, it provides extensive service that allows each customer to be their own “creative director” in creating their very own pair of Salvatore Ferragamo footwear – characterised with prestige detailing, clean lines and comfortable fit, crafted with quality materials and tradition steeping in century-old history.

To put the digital experience into action, Salvatore Ferragamo turned to Microsoft and its partner Hevolus to realise it via a dedicated web application. Through the application, each buyer will be able to view the footwear’s virtual twin, interacting with this ultra-faithful 3D reproduction and using a configurator to make their choice of materials, colours, details and finishes.

While they are at it, a client advisor is ready to help; the client-advisor can share a virtual room by wearing Microsoft’s HoloLens 2 holographic computer, providing assistance to figure out the best-suited model.

From the classic Derby to the double monk, every Salvatore Ferragamo fan is offered a selection of four models and nine colours to choose from. After picking their desired design, they are able to customise their pair with soles in different colours, initials in micro-studs, tiny printed monogram and buckle finishing.

Finally, the Tramezza - Future of Craft experience is topped off with the buyer’s handwritten name inside each shoe and unique packaging.
