Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 Limited Edition II honours health workers

A symbol of hope and happiness, rainbow always fascinates us with its otherworldly beauty and leaves us feeling great. Lending it the contagious influence, Breitling launched Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 Limited Edition in April in a hope to inspire and uplift people. It has instantly gained traction with both Breitling fans and watch lovers alike.

Bringing the coveted piece back to limelight once again, Breitling launches the second edition, the Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 Limited Edition II. Like its predecessor, the new watch shares a similar theme and is just as striking and inspiring. Sheltered in a 42mm stainless-steel case, the self-winding mechanical watch is powered by Breitling Calibre 10 with 42 hours of power reserve and is matched with a bidirectional rotating bezel with an ultrahard blue ceramic bezel ring and a blue dial.

Further elevating it and creating a pleasing juxtaposition are the hour markers and the hour and minute hands coated with Super-LumiNova® in rainbow graduation. The watch comes with an engraving of “ONE OF 1000” to mark its limited-edition status. The watch with 100 meters water-resistance is available in a gold-brown vintage-inspired leather strap or an integrated Ocean Classic stainless-steel bracelet.

Each purchase of the watch will give back to the society with part of the proceeds being donated to charities for funding health sector, research projects, medical treatment and PPE equipments as well as supporting the living of people affected by COVID-19. The Swiss watch brand is also donating an additional CHF 1000 to the charities for each of the first 100 Superocean Heritage ’57 Limited Edition II watches sold via www.breitling.com. The donation will be made to Fondation de France, Humanitas hospital group, National Center for Global Health and Medicine in Japan, Ministry of Health in Spain, NHS Charities Together and Direct Relief.

One of the watches will also be auctioned by Charitybuzz, an organisation supports worthy causes through auction, in June. The winning bidder will get a chance to have a digital chat with Kelly Slater, Breitling Surfers Squad member.
