Giambattista Valli is the next designer to team up with H&M

Following Moschino, Italian-born, Paris-based Italian designer Giambattista Valli is the next designer to join the ranks of H&M’s designer collaboration.

Valli is no stranger in the world of haute couture as he is well known for putting together voluminous tulle dresses that make the world’s super-rich ladies (think: Feiping Chang in her Giambattista Valli wedding gown) and celebrities alike to fall head over heels for them. Recently, the designer has dressed Emma Roberts and Lana Condor for Met Gala 2019 and Deepika Padukone for Cannes Film Festival 2019 in his signature silhouette.

The collection will be the first collaboration of H&M to work with the designer, debuting Valli’s maiden menswear that he names it #projectlove. “Couture is the art of making beautiful fabrics and experimenting. It’s the freedom of bringing, like, a dream into reality. I’m totally excited to see what is going to happen with this collaboration and all the love stories that are going to start all around the world,” Valli shares in the H&M collaboration announcement video.

We are definitely looking forward to seeing how a clash of haute couture and fast fashion with a dose of romantic flair turns out in the full collection that is set to release on 7 November later this year.

Just a couple of days ago, H&M piqued our interest by offering us a sneak peek of the collaboration, a pre-drop release, which the star of Netflix’s series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Ross Lynch wore to the amfAR Cannes Gala: a spotted grey wool suit paired with organza shirt and a pair of bead-embellished leather loafers. Other pieces in the collection include double-breasted wool jacket, organza T-shirt, short-sleeved crew neck and spotted grey suit shorts.

The pre-drop collection is now available at selected H&M stores and H&M’s online store.
