Smartphones are, perhaps, one of the most indispensable tech gadgets that we can’t live without in this social media-obsessed era, where photos are snapped and uploaded almost every second into social media.

And to cater to our generation of photography and social media savvy users, Huawei has tapped into the most invaluable source of the photography industry to create its new Huawei P9 smartphone: the iconic camera manufacturer Leica.

The first of its kind, Huawei P9 is a unique smartphone that is co-engineered with Leica and highlights the exclusive and technologically advanced dual-lens camera – a feat that has never been seen in the market till now.

Combining the tech know-how of Huawei with a camera expert like Leica, P9 is a photographer’s dream all packed into a sleek handheld device (see video above).

We all love professionally taken photographs taken with a DSLR, but when it comes to mobility, nothing beats a camera phone. With P9’s new ‘Professional Mode’, you can get a compact, yet fully enhanced manual function where you can adjust your shutter speed, aperture, ISO and more, just like a DSLR camera.

To top that off, the new “Monochrome Mode” is created using Leica’s extensive knowledge in black and white photography to create clear-cut images, similar to those taken with an actual Leica film camera.

Earning Leica’s stamp of approval, the Huawei P9 smartphone is the perfect companion for photography enthusiasts, social media influencers and travellers alike.

Available in three colours – Prestige Gold, Titanium Grey and Mystic Silver – the Huawei P9 phone is available at all Huawei stores and selected Huawei resellers at the price of RM2099.
