Ever since Vetements burst onto the scene in 2014, everything Demna Gvasalia and his team touch always turn into ‘cool kid’ gold.
And they show no signs of slowing down anytime soon, as proven with its latest Vetements x Reebok collaboration for the sock runner sneakers, which has just dropped.
Strikingly similar to the Balenciaga speed trainer (also a Demna Gvasalia-led brand), the Vetements x Reebok’s spin on the sock sneaker comes with a special split-tooled outsole and features the combination of an unreleased 1996 prototype runner sole.
The uppers of the shoe are constructed from a lightweight stretch-knit, giving your feet a snug, sock-like fit.
These kicks also feature Vetements’s trademark “Left” and “Right” designations – the perfect marriage between its progressive attitude towards fashion and Reebok’s well-established functionality for performance. The runners are only available in black and white, for the time being.
Previously, Vetements had teamed up with Reebok for the InstaPump Fury and the Pump Supreme– but this latest alliance has definitely raised the (fashion) bar higher and we can’t wait to see what they cook up next!
