Montblanc celebrates Malaysia’s 60th Independence day with exclusive watch

Malaysia turns 60 this year – and Montblanc is commemorating the momentous occasion with a Merdeka-inspired Montblanc 4810 ExoTourbillon Slim Malaysia 60 Edition timepiece, which pays homage to the rich culture and heritage of Malaysia.

Limited to just six numbered pieces (one to represent each decade), the highlight of this piece is a meticulously hand-painted miniature map of Malaysia, each of which boasts slight variations from the next by virtue of its hand-painted execution encased within a 42mm rose gold case.

Moreover, Montblanc also revisits Malaysia’s heritage through visual imagery of its past, present and future through an assortment of Montblanc Malaysia 60 Fine Stationery – in colours found on the Malaysian flag: red, blue and yellow.

On the inside cover of the Fine Stationery, you will find an artistic tribute to highly recognisable icons of Malaysian. These landmarks and monuments range from the distinctive architectural façades of the Sultan Abdul Samad building, the world-famous Petronas Twin Towers, the elegant Kuala Lumpur Tower and a jubilant Tunku Abdul Rahman – Malaysia’s first prime minister and founding father – proclaiming Malaysia’s independence.

Both timepiece and fine stationeries are part of the Montblanc Malaysia 60 Commemorative Collection.

The Montblanc Malaysia 60 Commemorative Collection is now available in Montblanc Pavilion and Suria KLCC boutiques.
