Bulova launches bronze plated Precisionist 97B186

The iconic American watch brand, Bulova has been an innovator in timekeeping since established in 1875. Time after time, it thrives on creating watches that aren’t only attractive, but also technically innovative. One example is the Bulova Accutron. In 1960, Bulova debuted the advanced and fully electronic watch that was specifically engineered to withstand the harshest of conditions. Another is the Precisionist. Echoing its DNA of ultimate accuracy and reliability, Bulova introduced the collection in 2010.

Once again, Bulova set history in the watchmaking industry by unveiling the world’s most accurate watch – with a smooth sweeping second hand that beats 16 times per second. The torsional resonator is invented with a three-prong instead of the standard two-prong quartz crystal. The result? A whopping eight times greater vibration frequency compared to a standard quartz watch. In addition, the Precisionist strays at only +/-5 seconds per month, making it comparable if not better than other high-performance quartz watches that swerve to 15 seconds per month.

Giving an additional variation to the collection to cater for a different taste in style, Bulova has launched the new bronze plated Precisionist 97B186. It marks as Bulova’s first-ever bronze watch which is very sensible as a day-to-night accessory for a gentleman who is meticulous about style, quality as well as practicality. It is designed in dimensions of 46mm across and 17mm high, and fully plated in bronze. Modern architecture has been taken as an inspiration for the sharp screw-back case and its grungy texture.

Adding a touch of luxe to the look, Bulova 97B186 is fitted with a white top-stitched blue genuine leather strap with buffalo grain texture. Securing the strap is a pin buckle clasp made in stainless steel. The tastefully sized blue dial features index hour markers and luminous pencil shaped skeleton hands coated in white accents rose gold tone to guarantee legibility. The watch, with four sub-dials and a date display window between 4 and 5 o’clock, are protected by a supreme scratch-resistant mineral crystal. With its bold proportion and intricacies of the dial which really draw attention, the Precisionist is made for those who seek a statement piece.
